In New Jersey Superior Court, Essex County, Gomez LLC filed suit against the New Jersey Dental School (NJDS) of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) after a dental student was dismissed for academic reasons without adequate notice or any meaningful hearing. The suit alleges violations of the student’s civil rights and other common law claims. See Omar Mercado v.
